    Police presence seen at residence in Oildale area

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A large police presence is seen outside of a residence in the Oildale area Thursday afternoon.

    Several Kern County Sheriff’s deputies can be seen at the scene and the area is taped off.

    According to the app Pulsepoint, a call for a medical emergency went out just after 4:15 p.m. on Olympic Drive.

    A notification was sent out to parents from Highland Elementary School that the school is currently on lockdown.

    17 News has reached out to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office for more information.
