2024 Bakersfield Christmas Parade ‘Musical Notes & Holiday Floats’ gets new parade route

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Sylvia Cariker, Bakersfield Christmas Parade Coordinator, joined 17 News at Sunrise to discuss the 2024 Christmas Parade theme and what to look forward to.

“Musical Notes & Holiday Floats” is this year’s Christmas parade theme. According to Cariker, there are several celebrated holidays during Christmas, and this year’s theme embraces each one of them.

Cariker says as soon as the Bakersfield Christmas Parade website announces it is taking entries, folks can sign up to be in or sponsor the parade.

With a new route and safety precautions in mind, Cariker hopes everyone will look forward to attending the parade.
