    Police ask for help to locate missing 17-year-old last seen in SW Bakersfield

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Police are asking for help to locate a 17-year-old who was reported missing and last seen in southwest Bakersfield on Thursday.

    The Bakersfield Police Department said Myah Raleen-Angel Chavez was last seen on Sept. 5 in the 3000 block of Woodstead Street at around 11:40 a.m.

    Chavez is considered at-risk because she has no prior history of being reported missing.

    Chavez is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink and white crop top and black sweats.

    Video alleges child was left crying outside of classroom in heat

    Anyone with information on Chavez’s whereabouts is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111.
