BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A brand new fire engine was delivered to Station 67 in northwest Bakersfield on Friday afternoon.

The fire engine, a Pierce Enforcer Type 1, comes with equipment and new tools for emergency services. District 1 Supervisor Phillip Peters was at the station to help deliver the engine.

Firefighters pushed the engine across the threshold of the station by hand, which is a well kept tradition, according to Jon Drucker, KCFD Public Information Officer.

The engine is now in service and will serve the Rosedale are and Kern County for years.

I'd like to know how old their previous fire truck was ❓ I'd also like to know this compares to engines around Bakersfield ⁉️
