    Vehicle fire spreads to brush, burns 3 acres in Frazier Park

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Firefighters have stopped forward progress on a brush fire that prompted brief evacuation warnings and an order Tuesday afternoon in Frazier Park.

    Kern County firefighters were called for a vehicle fire near the area of West End Trail and Mount Pinos Way at around 2 p.m. The fire is being called the Mount Fire. The fire quickly spread from the vehicle to nearby brush and threatened several structures, fire officials said.

    Drug charge dismissed against ex-BPD officer

    At around 3:15 p.m., officials said firefighters stopped forward progress of the fire that burned 3 acres.

    I live in Frazier Park, I saw the fire and I was surprised how long the firefighters took to get to the fire.
