    Bena Landfill reopens in Kern County

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bena Landfill has been reopened after Train derailment as of, Sept. 11, 2024.

    The landfill is now open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located at 2951 Neumarkel Road, Bakersfield.

    Kern residents can visit the landfill for waste disposal, but encouraged to check the types of waste accepted and not accepted at county landfills and transfer stations.
