    ADAKC to host ‘Caring for the Caregiver’ seminar in Bakersfield

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Alzheimer’s Disease Association of Kern County, Inc. (ADAKC) will host its 2024 “Caring for the Caregiver” seminar at no cost to the public, at Hodel’s Country Dining.

    The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 5917 Knudsen Drive.

    This annual seminar, in its 20th year, is designed to support people with Alzheimer’s, dementia and brain disorders. Attendees will have access to resources, residential care, home health service and hospice care.

    ADAKC offers to educate with seminar sessions and help bridge the gap between caregivers and the resources they need.
