BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a woman who died while in sheriff’s office custody back in July.

Coroner officials say Courtney Nichole Easley, 28, of Bakersfield was pronounced dead at the Lerdo Pre-trial facility on July 28.

A coroner’s report said an autopsy was conducted and the case of her death was determined to be fentanyl and drug intoxication. The manner of death was ruled an accident.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
