Coroner identifies man struck, killed by vehicle in Rosamond

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Officials with the Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a 63-year-old man who was struck and killed by a vehicle on West Rosamond Boulevard on Sunday.

Officials said Abelardo Hermitano Mendez Sosa, 63, of Rosamond was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of West Rosamond Boulevard and 40th Street West on Sunday at about 3:31 a.m.

Sosa was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.

Details on the crash are not immediately known.
