Bakersfield Legal Alliance opens ‘Legal Internship Scholarship’ in memory of Jim Yoro

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The greater Bakersfield Legal Alliance has announced the creation of the Jim Yoro Legal Intern Scholarship Fund in honor of Jim Yoro, a well-known Bakersfield attorney who died earlier this month.

Yoro served for 40 years at the law firm Chain Cohn Clark, where he eventually became a partner.

Yoro, a longtime advocate for workers, died after a battle with cancer. Friends and family are asking for donations to the Jim Yoro Legal Intern Scholarship fund in his honor.

A reception dedicated to Yoro will be held by the firm on Oct. 2 for the legal community.
