BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Work on the construction of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon continues and officials say completion of the first phase of the project is nearly complete.

The Tejon tribe and Hard Rock International are set to celebrate the progress with a ceremony next week. It’s known as a topping off ceremony. It’s a construction tradition that highlights the placement of the last beam in a building.

Well sounds like fun. A little early it seems for this announcement, but I am happy that finally something nice and new is coming near Bakersfield. 👍😎
