    BPD searches for man in connection to stabbing on Union Ave

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stabbed another man on Union Avenue in early September.

    Police say the man allegedly assaulted the other man and then stabbed him, causing minor injuries.

    The incident happened on Sept. 5 just after 4 p.m. in the 1600 block of Union Avenue. The suspect then fled on a bicycle.

    Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

    Police describe the suspect as about 30-years-old and about 6-feet-tall. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark shirt and dark jeans.
