This restaurant appears to be making move into former Romano’s Macaroni Grill location on Rosedale Hwy

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A steakhouse chain appears to be making its way into the location once occupied by a Romano’s Macaroni Grill on Rosedale Highway.

Construction work is ongoing at the site of the former Romano’s Macaroni Grill at 8500 Rosedale Highway. Construction crews were seen Monday in the fenced area working on the exterior of the building.

That work now looks like it’s for a future LongHorn Steakhouse. A job posting in search of a restaurant manager is listed for Bakersfield at the same location of the former Romano’s Macaroni Grill.

The Macaroni Grill on Rosedale Highway closed its doors back in July 2023.

17 News has reached out to Darden Restaurants but they have not confirmed any details about a future restaurant on Rosedale Highway.

Darden Restaurants operates several restaurant chains including Olive Garden, Yard House and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
