Junior League of Bakersfield host ‘Oktoberfest: Brews for Books’ Oct. 5

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Oktoberfest celebrations are just around the corner and the Junior League of Bakersfield is set to celebrate with “Brews for Books” fundraiser next Saturday.

Oktoberfest: Brews for Brews will be held at the JLB Community Center on Oct. 5 and will feature a beer garden yard games, costume contest and Oktoberfest-themed food.

The event aims to address Kern’s literacy deficits. One ticket purchased will provide books for one year for a child in kern through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
