Pyles Camp raises $30,000 at Compassion Corner fundraiser

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Pyles Boys Camp BBQ took over Compassion Corner outside KGET Studios Wednesday.

Cars lined up for a tri-tip meal before the fundraiser event started and sales were brisk. The fundraiser benefitted the R.M. Pyles Camp, which helps boys become good and productive citizens.

This was the first year the organization did the sale at Compassion Corner and it did well.

The organization raised $30,000 and plans to do it again next year in hopes of raising $50,000 in 2025.
