BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A former treasurer of the Kern County Republican Central Committee faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to bank fraud, federal prosecutors announced.

Bryan M. Williams pleaded guilty to bank fraud on Monday.

According to the Department of Justice in Fresno, Williams stole between $230,000 and 435,000 from the Kern County Republican Central Committee between 2013 and 2019 when he was the committee’s treasurer.

Prosecutors said Williams used the money for his personal use. In 2022, Williams was fined by the Federal Election Commission under an agreement with regulators after admitting he embezzled $272,000. FEC documents showed Williams did not keep records of payments to himself resulting in the committee filing inaccurate reports with the FEC.

Williams is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 27, 2025. He faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.

and what about Scrivner? Haven’t heard a damn thing about the nightmare he was responsible for! Not detained not arrested, he’s taking classes at Cal State just like nothing. Sheriff’s deputies report said an OBVIOUS sexual assault had taken place with an underaged girl. And his son STABBED him to make him stop. But oh… we have to remember his connections, his high end rich family…. It will get swept under the rug.
