    Chief Terry discusses BPD fatal shooting on Blomquist Dr., threats of violence at Kern schools

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield Police Chief, Greg Terry joined 17 News at Sunrise to discuss deadly officer-involved shooting on Blomquist Dr., threats of violence at Kern schools, and Bakersfield Christmas Parade preparations.

    That man, in the officer-involved shooting, was identified by coroner officials as J. Felix Guadalupe Manzo Chocoteco of Bakersfield, and he died at Kern Medical around 12:45 a.m. on Oct. 2.

    The California Department of Justice continues to investigate the shooting to determine if it was justified, in accordance with state law.
