Suspect arrested in death of woman found at Ashe Rd and Bear Mt Blvd

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of a woman whose body was found in the area of Ashe Road and Bear Mountain Boulevard, according to sheriff’s officials.

Mauricio Juarez was arrested Monday in the 3500 block of Sesame Street and is being held without bail. He was due in court Wednesday afternoon, but prosecutors sent the case back for more investigation.

The woman’s body was found around 7 a.m. on Sept. 26. Her name has not been released, but sheriff’s officials said she was 38.
