BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern will get some cloud coverage from the west throughout the day with a high of 89 degrees.

High pressure has weakened and that’s going to give way to a series of systems, to the north and west, bringing more of that onshore push of cooler air, starting a cooldown in Kern.

The cooldown will continue into next week. Expect a high of 81 degrees Saturday and 79 degrees on Sunday.

Temps in the mid to low 80s will continue into next week.
