The collision was reported just before 3 p.m. at Elmo Highway and Scofield Avenue.

According to CHP’s investigation, a gray 2016 Ram was heading eastbound on Elmo Highway, when the Ram failed to stop at the posted stop sign. The pickup drove through the intersection and broadsided a Toyota traveling northbound on Scofield Ave, according to CHP.

The pickup rolled over and landed on its roof.

The impact of the crash sent the Toyota traveling out of control, ejecting one of the passengers. The violent crash also killed the driver, from Delano, and another passenger in the Toyota. The two men and the woman were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said Tuesday.
