    Hamburger, hotdog cookout fundraiser supports survivors impacted by Borel Fire

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bristol Kantor, Marketing and Fundraising Manager, and Eric Arias, Interim President and CEO, joined 17 News at Sunrise to talk more about today’s Borel Fire BBQ event.

    Happening today is the Borel Fire BBQ, the United Way of Central Eastern California and KGET 17 News are teaming up for a barbeque supporting survivors impacted by the Borel Fire.

    Borel Fire now the largest fire in Kern history: Kern County FD

    The barbeque is happening at Compassion Corner at the intersection of 22nd and L streets, outside of the KGET Studios beginning at 11 a.m.

    For $13, you’ll get hamburger or hot dog with your choice of water or soda and chips. Proceeds go to the Borel Fire relief fund through the United Way.
