    Mother and her 2-year-old reported missing out of SE Bakersfield

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield police are seeking the community’s help in locating a mother and daughter who are missing under suspicious circumstances.

    Investigators said Abigail Del Carmen Carrillo-Diaz, 2, and her mother, Maria Teresa Diaz, 34, were last seen near the intersection of South Owens Street and East 10th Street at around 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15.

    Police released photos of the mother and daughter Wednesday morning.

    The 2-year-old is 3-feet tall and weighs around 30 pounds. She has black shoulder-length hair, black eyes, and was last seen wearing a pink shirt, pink shorts and pink shoes.

    Maria Teresa stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. Maria was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans orange shoes.

    Anyone with information on Abigail and Maria’s whereabouts is urged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111.
