BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man who was arrested Tuesday, accused of breaking into a southwest Bakersfield home and shooting and wounding a woman during a struggle, has been released from jail after he was cleared as a suspect, police said.

The Bakersfield Police Department said evidence excludes Aron Joseph Perry as a suspect in the case.

Officials on Tuesday said Perry, 44, was located near the area of Yellowstone River Drive where the home intrusion occurred. He was detained and later arrested.

“Since the arrest made in this incident, investigators have continued their search for evidence to ensure this investigation is as comprehensive as possible,” police said in a statement on Wednesday. “Investigators found evidence excluding Aron Perry as the suspect.”

    Perry was released from jail.

Police describe the suspect in the home intrusion as a white or Hispanic male in his 30s or 40s, standing 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with a thin build. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111.

As long as there was legit Probable Cause, which is a VERY low standard of evidence, there will NOT be any major payday...if any.
