Cooler temps arrive, winds to pick up by Thursday afternoon

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Skies have cleared out and we started out with some upper 50’s this morning in the Valley.

A nice day ahead with upper 70’s in Bakersfield and 60’s in the Mountain areas. We will see the winds pick up this afternoon, and some blowing dust can’t be ruled out by evening around the Valley.

We have issued a High Wind Warning for portions of the Kern Desert areas. We will see temps return into the 80’s over the weekend.
