BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Another downtown business was vandalized Thursday night, and it is not the first time it happened.

The owners of Guarantee Shoe Center say the suspect used a two-by-four piece of wood to break in Thursday night and stole several display items. It’s the second time the window has been broken this month alone.

The window was fixed just two weeks ago.

“I mean what do you do? We definitely have a mental health crisis in Kern County and until things are in place to help deal with that a little better I guess it’s just part of doing business. Unfortunately,” Sarah Rolnick, Vice President at Guarantee Shoe Center said.

According to the owners, the suspect was captured on surveillance video, but that video was too grainy to identify the vandal.
