But, you'll also find that many Texans enjoy food that some people might find strange, or just outright disgusting.</p><p>The whole world lost its mind <a href="https://apnews.com/article/haitian-immigrants-vance-trump-ohio-6e4a47c52b23ae2c802d216369512ca5">when former President Trump mentioned</a> that migrants in a town in Ohio are eating canines and felines. Now, I'm not going down that political road. But it did get me thinking about some of the strange foods that we grub down on in Texas.</p><p>It is a well-known fact that folks in Texas will fry pretty much anything these days, whether it's chicken or even a Twinkie. While many Texas dishes are a staple and even a tradition, there are some foods and animals that we eat that some consider super gross.</p><p>Have you ever sat down to a plate of liver and onions? Do you know what head cheese is? Maybe you have a hankering for some fried snake?</p><h2>Strange Foods In Texas That Find Some Gross</h2><p>The following gallery illustrates the many dishes we consume here in Texas. From rattlesnakes and squirrels to beef tongue and crawfish heads, these unusual foods grace the plates of many folks across the Lone Star State.</p><p>As someone who has lived in Texas all of my life, I can honestly say that I have had maybe 2 things on this list. It's just not my cup of tea to dive into a plate of rattlesnakes or gorge myself on liver and onions. But, to each their own.</p><p>One thing is for sure, it shows the culinary diversity that Texans have as we like to grub on many other things besides BBQ, tacos, and chicken-fried steak.</p></div></body>
