UPDATE: Pedestrian was not in crosswalk when struck by pickup on North Oracle

UPDATE (9:17 a.m., August 16):

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a pickup truck struck a pedestrian crossing the northbound lanes on North Oracle Road near Orange Grove Road at just after 5 p.m. on Thursday.

The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Arizona Department of Public Safety, they are investigating a vehicle and pedestrian fatal collision on Oracle Road and Orange Grove Road.

Expect traffic in the area, travel accordingly.
