They don’t have to size up a customer’s age, there’s no profiling. (prior verbage is from this article) This to me sounds like personal interaction is going away. Now we can wait for the Cognitive Fog to set in.

I had a friend who had a full beard and a receding hairline in the 7th grade. Once he got into Highschool he would go clubbing and bar hopping all the time, he was never carded because he legitimately looked like an adult. He was an alcoholic and doing hard drugs in Highschool.
