    Hawaii’s youth teams reach Ripken, Ruth WS

    In addition to the Central East Maui Little League team, which will play in the Little League beginning on Wednesday, a bevy of youth baseball teams from Hawaii have also reached the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth World

    At the Cal Ripken World Series 10u in Crowne Point, Indiana from Aug. 8-18, the Manoa Youth Baseball and the OBRL West Oahu Prospects are two of the 25 national and international teams competing for the World Series title. They will compete in pool play with the goal of reaching the championship single-elimination portion of the tournament later in the week.

    At the Cal Ripken World Series 12u, in Branson, Missouri from Aug. 7-18, OBRL Homegrown will be one of 39 national and international teams competing for the World Series title.

    At the Babe Ruth League 13u World Series in Glenn Allen, Virginia, the OBRL New ERA are one of 12 teams competing for the World Series title. New ERA is attempting to become the fourth consecutive team from Hawaii to win the 13u Babe Ruth World Series, following past champions OBRL Kado Baseball (2021 and 2022) and the OBRL Islanders (2023).
