    Kauai honors Tatiana Weston-Webb with proclamation ceremony

    Tatiana Weston-Webb was honored by the County of Kauai and Mayor Derek Kawakami in a special proclamation ceremony held at the Lihue Civic Center on Wednesday morning.

    Weston-Webb recently won silver at the Paris Olympics, finishing second behind Caroline Marks in Teahupo’o, Tahiti.

    Weston-Webb won silver while representing Brazil.

    While Weston-Webb was born in Brazil, she moved to Kauai as an infant, was raised on the Garden Isle and continues to hold residence there.

    During the ceremony, Mayor Kawakami declared Aug. 14 as Tatiana Weston-Webb day on Kauai.
