On Saturday, No. 3 Campbell and star quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele are set for a big test at No. 6 Punahou at 3 p.m.

The Sabers shocked the Buffanblu at home last year, but the 2024 season will bring a new challenge. This time, Campbell will face Punahou on its home field.

Regardless of the wins or losses, Sagapolutele is trying to soak up his final year of high school football playing for his hometown team before he heads off to the University of California.

“I think it just means it means the world to me, just representing my hometown,” Sagapolutele said. “The community always supports you no matter what through the good times and the bad times. Just the continued support, they’re always going to come and show love.

“It’s really just a blessing to be able to put on for Ewa Beach. It’s just a great feeling to be able to have that on my chest. Just be prepared. Last season, obviously we came up short. But you know, just to make a statement this weekend, we’re in it to win it. So just have a good game. Have a complete game. And just to show that we’re coming for it this year.”
