UH soccer edged by Portland

The University of Hawaii soccer team concluded play in the Outrigger Invitational at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium with a 1-0 loss to Portland.

UH dropped to 1-3, while Portland improved to 2-0-1.

Hailey Bagby got the scoring started for Portland with a goal in the second minute, which is all the Pilots needed.

Portland goalkeeper Bre Norris had four saves to keep the ‘Bows scoreless.

Hawaii will remain at home for the Outrigger No Ka Oi, opening against Air Force on Aug. 29 at 7 p.m.
