    Huy Vo named Hawaii’s Public Relations Professional of the Year 2024

    HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach, celebrated a significant achievement as its Director of Marketing Communications, Huy Vo, was honored with the 2024 Gregg W. Perry Public Relations Professional of the Year Award.

    The accolade was presented at the 41st Annual Koa Anvil Awards, held on August 22 at Prince Waikiki Hotel. The Koa Anvil Awards recognize exceptional achievements in public relations programs.

    The Gregg W. Perry Public Relations Professional of the Year Award is given to a practitioner who has demonstrated a distinguished career, made significant contributions to the field, and used impactful public relations techniques.

    Vo, the 40th recipient of the award since its inception in 1985, was recognized for his leadership and influence in public relations. With nearly 20 years of experience in public relations and marketing, Vo has excelled in luxury travel and hospitality, currently leading global marketing communications for the largest Ritz-Carlton Residences.

    Under his guidance, the resort earned the title of #1 Best Hotel in Hawaii by Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2023.

    Vo’s previous roles include positions at The Kahala Hotel & Resort, Hawaiian Airlines, and Bright Light Marketing.

    Born and raised in Honolulu, Vo is a graduate of McKinley High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon. He is also a past recipient of the Young Public Relations Professional of the Year Award and the President’s Leadership Award from PRSA.
