    Wahine soccer falls to Seattle

    The University of Hawaii soccer team lost the first contest of its road trip, falling 3-1 at Seattle on Thursday.

    The Rainbow Wahine fell to 2-5 for the 2024 season.

    Hawaii took an early lead on Jacey Jicha’s goal in the 19th minute, but the Redhawks scored five minutes later on a Taylor Marks goal and never looked back, pulling away with a Marla Gaudlitz goal in the 40th minute and a Caroline Penner score in the 75th.9

    Hawaii will remain in Washington and takes on Eastern Washington on Sunday at 10 a.m. HST.
