Ka’ahumanu Avenue to see large hauls over weekend

KAHULUI, Hawaii (KHON2) — The Department of Transportation is reminding Maui drivers that there will be traffic slow downs and delays over the weekend.

Wide loads will be transported between Kahului Harbor and a staging area near the Kahului boat ramp through Monday morning.

The trucks will be hauling modular homes that will eventually be moved to Lahaina for fire survivors.

The transport will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday.

Drivers are advised to follow directions from traffic controllers.
