Team Bradley wins Na Wahine O Ke Kai race

Despite a four-year hiatus, the dynasty for Team Bradley continues.

Team Bradley won the Na Wahine O Ke Kai race on Sunday for the time fifth time in a row, but first since 2019, which is when the last time the event was held.

Team Bradley, an Oahu-based team, won the Na Wahine O Ke Kai for the 13th time in team history with an unofficial time of approximately five hours and 45 minutes.

Team Bradley members: Kealani Bartlett, Monica Esquivel, Kristin Foster, Alana Goo-Fraizer, Ka’uluponookaleihua Lu’uwai, Coral Mariano, Malia Mizuno, Lori Nakamura, Lauren Spalding, Andrea Fisher.

Ka Lahui Kai on Hikaalii came in second place with crew: Dana Yaross, Angie Dolan, Lindsey Shank, Rachel Bruntsch, Hoku Keala, Donna Kahakui-Ching, Jenna Kalei, Nahaku Kalei, Coral Darbishire and Iloha Eychenne.

Mauiʻs Hawaiian Canoe Club came in third place with crew: Kelsey Naeole, Jay R. Kaawa, Arianna Gerry, Kaimana Brummel, Kristin Drost, Lisa Fanning, Danielle Kuck, Tiare Lawrence, Tina Myers and Dane Ward.

In fourth place was Hui Nalu on Uncle Jimmy Olds with crew: Kendra Bean, Nohealani Frizzell, Jacqueline Cameron, Maggie Twigg-Smith, Tia Brown, Amanda Smith, Savannah Wright, Dillyn Lietzke, Diana Kim-Lorge and Julie Aio.

Over 1,000 paddlers from around the world competed on Sunday, beginning at Hale O Lono Harbor on Molokai. After 40.8 miles acorss the Ka’iwi Channel, the race ends at Duke Kahanamoku Beach in Waikiki.
