Once again, the University of Hawaii was denied a bid to host the NCAA men’s volleyball tournament.

On Wednesday, it was announced that the NCAA men’s volleyball tournament in 2027 and 2028 will be held in Las Vegas at the Orleans Arena. It will be hosted by UNLV, which does not have a men’s volleyball team.

Ohio State’s Covelli Center will host in 2025, while UCLA’s Pauley Pavillion will do so in 2026.

Hawaii has hosted the tournament in 1998 and 2004, although UH did not make either four-team tournament. Hawaii won the 2021 and 2022 NCAA Tournaments.

On Thursday, UH-Manoa athletics director Craig Angelos confirmed with KHON2 that a bid was placed by Hawaii for the 2027 and 2028 tournaments.
