Brad Tavares makes weight at UFC Vegas 98

Hawaii’s Brad Tavares successfully made weight in preparation for his UFC Vegas 98 bout on Friday, weighing in at 185 pounds.

Tavares’ opponent, Junyong Park, also weighed within the middleweight non-title limit, hitting the scales at 185.5.

Saturday’s bout between Tavares (20-9) and Park (17-6) is the co-main event of UFC Vegas 98. The main card begins at 1 p.m. HST on ESPN+.

Tavares is set to make history in multiple ways on Saturday . UFC Vegas 98 will be his 25th time fighting in a middleweight UFC bout, giving him the most all time in UFC middleweight history.

Tavares is also one win away from tying Michael Bisping’s record for UFC middleweight victories.
