    Wahine soccer plays UC Irvine to draw

    The University of Hawaii soccer team tied UC Irvine 0-0 on Sunday, having its historic winning streak coming to an end.

    Hawaii’s most recent win on Thursday over UC San Diego gave the ‘Bows a winning streak of seven and its best conference start in program history. UH is now 9-6-1 overall and 5-0-1 in Big West play and exit the weekend first in the conference standings.

    The Rainbow Wahine could not score despite taking 11 shots, with only one on goal.

    Meanwhile, defending Big West Defensive Player of the Week Kennedy Justin had another clean sheet with three saves.

    Next up for Hawaii is a home contest against UC Riverside on Sunday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium. 4 p.m.
