As they do with hurricane season, NOAA announced their wet season outlook on Thursday.

The dry season saw an above average amount of rain this year. But by July, drought conditions were seen.

It ended up being the ninth wettest dry season.

For the wet season, La Niña is favored to emerge by the end of November and last until spring.

The wet season has gotten off to a slow start with October being mostly dry.

“The climate model concensus does favor wetter than average conditions, especially starting from December and continuing on through April of next year.”

Heavy rain is expected during the wet season.

Drought conditions are expected to be wiped out by the end of the wet season.

The wet season runs from October through April.
