    Hawaii women’s volleyball swept by UC Santa Barbara

    The University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team was swept on the road by Santa Barbara 25-18, 25-19, 25-22 on Sunday.

    Hawaii fell to 11-7 overall and 5-3 in Big West Conference play.

    Less than 24 after sweeping contender Cal Poly , Hawaii made the trip down the California coast and lost in straight sets to Santa Barbara, who were led by Eva Travis, Sophie Reavis and Emma McDermott, who had 10 kills each.

    For Hawaii, Caylen Alexander had a match-high 20 kills but also had 10 hitting errors.

    Hawaii will remain on the road for a Tuesday match at Cal State Bakersfield, with first serve set for 4 p.m. HST.
