A Pico Canyon Elementary School student is not letting the fact that she is only 11 years old stop her from pursuing her dream of becoming an author.

With two books already published, young Ruby Jiang is making those dreams a reality.

At age six, Jiang embarked on a creative journey of short story writing.

At the age of eight, her debut book, “Spooky Flats,” was published. The story follows two young adventurers, Henry and Hilly Han, as they discover a mountain and embark on a series of thrilling adventures atop it.

She penned “Three Points of War”—her second book—when she was just 10 years old.

In this chapter book, readers follow two siblings as they endure the heartbreak of being separated due to a terrible war. Despite all the obstacles, they manage to reunite in the end.

Not only did Ruby create the cover art, but she also illustrated her books.

You can buy both books from Amazon, where Jiang has a flawless five-star rating.

If you have already read those books, don’t worry. “Spooky Flats 2” will be released on Oct. 31, 2024 and Jing will release another book, “The World of Music,” in 2025.

Jiang also had the honor of having a book launch and signing at Pico Canyon Elementary School on Thursday. All the proceeds from the books were said to go straight to the school.
