SCV Water Wins Four Awards For Communication Initiatives In 2023

SCV Water won four prestigious awards from the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) for its outstanding work and new public information and communications ideas.

The SCV Water Agency won three additional Awards of Distinction for its website, the 2023 Consumer Confidence Report, and branding efforts. It also won an EPIC award for its public e-newsletter, Water Currents, which was the best in its category.

Communication and marketing campaigns, newsletters, photography, special events, writing, website development, and video production are just some of the things that CAPIO’s EPIC awards program recognizes.

More than 400 award requests came from CAPIO member organizations across California, including city and county governments, special districts, water agencies and other public bodies.

In total, SCV Water received the third-most awards for projects completed in 2023, including:

The statewide organization CAPIO works to improve the skills of public sector communicators at all levels of government. EPIC awards and Awards of Distinction are chosen by judges from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO), which is a sister organization of CAPIO.
