Thirty graduates walked across the Hart High School auditorium stage Friday evening, commemorating their achievements at Golden Oak Adult School.
“I am so proud of you for the work you put forth and the courage you found within yourself to complete your high school education,” said Principal Bryan Wilson. I am sure you have had this dream in your heart for a long time. And with this diploma and certificate, you move forward with the knowledge that you can accomplish your dream.”
The Golden Oak graduating class honored Friday night included 34 students, though a few were beholden to the demands of adult life rather than having the luxury of celebrating their accomplishments, resulting in only 30 crossing the stage.
Each graduating student received not only their diploma or certificate but also a lapel pin that graduates could gift to someone “who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to be there and encourage you throughout your education,” according to Wilson.
Golden Oak Adult School staff take immense pride in being an institution that provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for adult learners, administrators said.
Hart District Superintendent Mike Kuhlman and governing board member Erin Wilson, as well as several prominent Golden Oak staff members, joined the students on stage to present their diplomas.
