Juvenile Threatened In Battery Incident At Central Park

A battery incident involving a juvenile allegedly being threatened at gunpoint occurred Thursday evening at Central Park in Saugus.

Around 8:15 p.m. Thursday, deputies received reports of a possible robbery at Central Park on Bouquet Canyon Road, said Sgt. Rios with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

A juvenile had their cell phone taken from them, and the suspect allegedly had a gun, according to Rios.

Deputies did detain an individual shortly after the incident, however, as of the publication of this article it is unknown if the person detained was the suspect, according to Sheriff’s officials.
