Brush Fire Northeast Of Castaic Halted

An early morning brush fire northeast of Castaic was halted by firefighters Friday.

Around 1:35 a.m. Friday, firefighters received reports of a brush fire on Lake Hughes Road and Dry Gulch Mountain Way in the Angeles National Forest northeast of Castaic, said Kaitlyn Aldana, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The fire grew to 3 acres before forward progress was stopped, according to Aldana.

No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged, according to officials.
