Police pursuit in Humble ends with one injured, two in custody

HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — Police in Humble were pursuing a stolen vehicle around 7 p.m. yesterday when they requested support from a Houston Police Department (HPD) air unit.

The pursuit began in Humble and continued down FM 1960 and Interstate 59 when at some point the driver of the vehicle let out a female passenger who was taken into custody.

The police helicopter continued to track the vehicle as she traveled the wrong way on Interstate 59. The pursuit came to an end when the driver struck an SUV.

The female driver of the SUV was taken by ambulance to a local hospital in critical condition. The suspect was taken into custody.
