2 shot in possible drive-by shooting in southwest Houston, HPD says

HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — Two men were shot in a suspected drive-by shooting early Saturday morning in southwest Houston, police said.

Around 1 a.m. Saturday, two men, an 18-year-old and a 28-year-old, were walking down the street after buying beer in the 9800 block of Club Creek Drive. Houston police said that a vehicle with several people in it pulled up to the duo, with one of them yelling, “We run the show around here,” and several shots were fired at the duo.

The teen was shot in the hand and leg, while the other man was shot twice in the torso, HPD said. Both men were quickly taken to local hospitals, where they are listed in serious condition.

HPD said that they believe that the shooting may be gang related.
