Man in critical condition after being shot 4 times following car crash in southwest Houston, HPD says

HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — A man is in critical condition after being shot four times in the back after the shooter backed into the man’s vehicle early Saturday morning in southwest Houston.

Houston police said that around 12:20 a.m. Saturday, a man in his mid-20s was sitting in his car at the 6300 block of Windswept Lane near some apartments when someone backed their truck into the victim’s vehicle.

Both the suspect and victim got out to confront each other, and an argument ensued. The suspect shot the victim four times in the back. Some witnesses were able to wrestle the gun away from the suspect before fleeing the scene.

HPD said that they have a good idea of who the suspect is through surveillance video but are still working out some details.
