HPD investigate shooting at motel near Federal Road

HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — Just before 1 a.m. this morning, a man showed up at a Denny’s restaurant after being shot in the stomach.

This happened off the I-10 Freeway near Federal Road on the east side of Houston. Police reported that the man got into an argument with someone at an adjacent motel.

That’s where the shooting took place before the suspect ran off. The victim was taken to hospital in unknown condition.

Investigators are trying to determine the victim’s relationship to the shooter and believe the victim to be homeless.
